Born: Washington D.C., 1924

Employment: Vassar College, 1949-51; University of Western Ontario, 1951-52; University of Wisconsin-Extension, 1966-83; Division of Outreach, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1983-1991; Joint appointment with Department of History, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1989-91; retired 1991. President (1984) and Fellow (1995), Agricultural History Society

Research Interests:

Great Lakes environmental history; Midwestern agricultural and environmental history.
